PrivacyPolicy
Effective date: June 14, 2026
This page describes how Goodiator handles personal information and user content.
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Goodiator, Inc. collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Goodiator app and related services.
Goodiator is built to help people complete real-world acts of kindness, share reflections and media with their squads, exchange QR-based notes, and celebrate activity together inside the app.
Information We Collect
When you create or use an account, we may collect information such as your email address, first name, last name, display name, zip code, birth date, timezone, and profile preferences.
When you use the app, we collect the content you submit, including squad posts, reflections, mission reports, voice notes, uploaded images, QR note content, reactions, moderation reports, and related safety actions.
We also collect service and diagnostic information needed to operate the app, such as authentication state, basic device and browser metadata, IP-based rate-limit signals, and activity records tied to features you use.
How We Use Information
We use information to create and maintain your account, personalize the app experience, run squad features, deliver reminders you opt into, process media uploads, and show you content you are allowed to see.
We also use information to protect the service, including enforcing rate limits, preventing abuse, reviewing moderation reports, applying safety preferences and moderation controls, troubleshooting failures, and improving product performance.
How Squad and QR Content Works
Some content in Goodiator is shared with other people by design. For example, squad victory posts, reflections, mission reports, reactions, and related media can be visible to members of the relevant squad, subject to app rules and moderation controls.
QR note flows are intended to reach the intended recipient or viewer of the QR experience. If you submit content through those flows, please do not assume it is private from the person or group the feature is designed to reach.
Moderation, Safety, and Community Protection
We may review or act on user content and related account information to enforce community rules, investigate reports, prevent harassment, and keep the service safe.
Users can report certain content, and Goodiator may maintain moderation records such as report reasons, timestamps, review status, and related account or content identifiers needed to resolve a safety issue.
When We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the service, comply with law, protect users, or support product operations.
Service providers that may process data on our behalf include Supabase for authentication, database, and storage infrastructure, Resend for transactional email delivery, Upstash for rate limiting infrastructure, and hosting or deployment providers that support app delivery.
Media and Storage
If you upload images or audio, we store and process those files so the app can display or play them back in the places where you choose to share them. We may transform uploaded files for compatibility, safety, or performance reasons.
Media access inside the app is restricted through application controls, but no system can promise absolute security. Please avoid uploading content that would create serious risk if disclosed.
Email Communications
We may send account and product emails that are necessary to operate Goodiator, such as sign-in links, transactional messages, and reveal reminders you enable in your account settings.
You can turn reveal reminders off in the app. If we introduce additional optional communications later, we may provide separate preference controls.
Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, investigate abuse, and enforce our agreements.
Different categories of data may be retained for different periods. For example, active account data, moderation records, audit records, and stored media may not all follow the same retention timeline.
Your Choices
You can update certain profile information inside the app, control whether reveal reminders are enabled, use built-in moderation tools where available, and contact us if you have a privacy-related request.
To ask about access, correction, or deletion, contact Goodiator, Inc. at hello@goodiator.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Children
Goodiator is intended for users age 13 and older. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 in a way that should not have happened, we will take appropriate steps to address it.
Security
We use technical and operational measures intended to protect information, but no method of transmission, storage, or software operation is completely secure. You use Goodiator at your own risk.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may revise the effective date above and provide additional notice when appropriate.
